Dear Students,

To allow additional time for orientation activities and application preparation, the School of AI and Liberal Arts (SAI) has extended the application deadline for its 2026 Fall Selection.

Application Deadline

The online application system will remain open until 4:00 p.m. on Wedsday, August 19, 2026. Invited students must submit their applications and supporting documents by the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Eligibility and Selection

The selection is open to invited incoming undergraduate students who meet the eligibility requirements of their home Faculties or Schools. Candidates will be assessed holistically based on their Gaokao results, subject grades, competition achievements, and interview performance, where applicable.

About SAI

Established in April 2025, SAI is an interdisciplinary platform integrating artificial intelligence with the liberal arts. Led by Dean Professor Zhong CHEN and supported by approximately 30 distinguished scholars from across the University, SAI offers small-group teaching, core AI courses, and interdisciplinary project-based learning.

Selected students will continue their home programmes while participating in SAI’s curriculum, with a flexible entry and exit mechanism based on their academic progress during the first year.
